Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react after Neil Lennon shared his post-match thoughts following Wednesday evening’s 2-2 draw against Livingston.
The reigning Scottish champions went 1-0 up after Callum McGregor’s right-footed screamer in the 16th minute, but completely threw their lead away when John Guthrie and Scott Robinson scored in the 24th and 46th minute respectively to hand Livingston a 2-1 lead.
However, a 90th minute strike from Tom Rogic ensured that Celtic remained unbeaten domestically in 2020, and after Rangers also suffered defeat against Hamilton at Ibrox, the draw actually means that Lennon’s side are now 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Despite that slight positive, it was still an underwhelming performance from the Hoops – not according to Lennon though.
He reckons that his side were “brilliant” and “relentless” against Livingston – judging by a handful of supporters’ reaction on Twitter, it appears as if they don’t agree with his opinion…
To kick off the reaction, these two supporters expressed concern over Lennon’s comments – one asked if he was being serious, while another said that the words were worrying.
This may be speculative, but perhaps the Celtic boss is trying to act contrastingly to Steven Gerrard when his side perform badly – earlier this week, the Rangers manager questioned his players’ commitment.
Elsewhere, Greg and James called the comments delusional and nonsense respectively.
While most would’ve surely expected Celtic to get the win, it is not beyond reasonable doubt that Lennon actually thought his side were brilliant for managing to record a comeback with seconds remaining on the clock.
Lastly, Daniel made the slightly over-reactive comment that Lennon’s words were insulting to the supporters.

It’s a game of opinions after all, and everyone tends to have a different view on the result – in that respect, this tweet might be a stretch too far.
