The January transfer window is edging ever closer and it’ll be interesting to see what business Jose Mourinho will do once it finally opens.
Of course, with the Special One’s reputation and pedigree, it’s fairly safe to assume Tottenham Hotspur will have an opportunity to attract players of elite quality to the club in windows to come.

And so far, Spurs have been linked with a lot of high-profile names but London Evening Standard recently reported that Marouane Fellaini, among some other names, are not on Mourinho’s wish list this Christmas.
Of course, the now 32-year-old is a former pupil of the Portuguese manager as they spent some time together at Old Trafford while Mourinho was managing Manchester United.
But this update was actually seen as a relief for many Spurs fans who seemingly don’t want Fellaini, who joined Shandong Luneng Taishan in a £10.4m deal earlier this year, at the club.
In fact, they were all pretty much celebrating this news as something wonderful and were generally being thankful that it won’t come to pass.
Mourinho’s produced some incredible footballing stars – how much do you know about them?
It seems that they don’t really rate Fellaini at all.
The now 32-year-old midfielder has played a total of 55 games across all competitions in 2018/19, both in China and in England, scoring 14 goals and assisting seven in the process as well.
In the 34 games he’s played for his new club, he has managed to bag 12 goals and five assists.
But despite all of that, he is not really a welcome face at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, if the reactions from above are anything to go by.
Luckily for those fans, it doesn’t seem like Mourinho will try and arrange a reunion of any sort.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid would be making a huge mistake by offering one of their players to Man Utd in order to land their main man…
