Celtic know that they can win the Scottish Premiership title against their arch-rivals Rangers in the final Old Firm derby of the season at Parkhead on Sunday if they take all three points, and Bhoys fans want manager Brendan Rodgers to hand Patrick Roberts what would be a rare start this season.
The 21-year-old has missed a large chunk of the campaign through injury, but he has found first-team minutes hard to come by since making his return to action at the start of March.
While he made his first league start since October against Hamilton Academicals earlier this month, the Manchester City loanee once again found himself on the substitutes’ bench for the SFA semi-final tie against their Glasgow neighbours a fortnight ago, but the Celtic Park faithful want him in the XI following news that Andy Halliday is set to start as a makeshift left-back for Rangers.
Celtic supporters were quick to have their say on the winger via social media, and while one said “Roberts must start the game surely”, another said they were “desperate for Roberts to start”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
