Walker, who played in Serie A in 2024/25, having joined AC Milan on loan, has congratulated his rival McTominay for inspiring Napoli to a sensational Serie A title triumph. The midfielder left Manchester United last summer for a €30 million (£25m/$34m) fee, and went on to score 12 goals and register six assists as Napoli won only their fourth Italian title.

McTominay had spent almost his entire life at United, having joined the club at the age of five, before deciding to make the switch to Italy, and Walker has revealed his admiration for the Scotland international, as his call to leave has been more than vindicated. Indeed, the midfielder scored the decisive goal that saw Napoli confirmed as champions.
WHAT KYLE WALKER SAID
Walker, speaking on his podcast, said: "To leave Manchester United, when you've been at Manchester United for so long, to make that jump, I'm so happy for him. I think even, Napoli, the fans are very intense, but for what he's done, the goal that sealed it in the last game…"
He added: "When you play with confidence you can do anything. If I showed you that picture one year ago, and said 'who's that', you would never go 'Scott McTominay'. So congratulations both to Scott and his family and everyone associated with him. I'm very happy for you."
